Classic Jewish Wedding with a Modern City Twist

It’s always so special to see how love is celebrated through different and diverse cultures! This last spring we had the honor of curating flowers for Sarah and Jacob’s Jewish wedding at The Westin River North in Chicago. Flower arches are my thing and in Jewish wedding ceremonies, they’re known as Chuppahs! A chuppah is basically a canopy that the couple stands under during their ceremony. Flowers can be adorned all around or made focal point at the top center of the chuppah (this is the route we took—check it out below!). The spring vibes were so high with the use of mostly white and pastel flowers that so beautifully matched the bride and bridesmaids’ dresses (and the stunning lake!). Peep through the beautiful photos below taken by Dominika Photography if you’re looking for some inso for a classic-styled wedding!

We loved creating their curved floral ceremony backdrop, statement aisle entrance pieces, table centerpieces, wedding cake decor, and ornate sweetheart table. Take a look at this post to see how we transformed the ceremony space into the reception space.

We included seasonal elements of roses, ranunculus, anemone, stock, spray roses, astrantia and statice.
