Romantic Rooftop Wedding at Morgan's on Fulton
Summertime in Chicago is such a special time - it’s when the city is alive and in full bloom. We love it when couples take advantage of the immaculate vibe of Summertime Chi- especially when the weather is just right. Rochelle and Eric hosted their romantic wedding on the rooftop at Morgan’s on Fulton, and it was an unforgettable event. With the stunning Chicago skyline in the background, and all of their loved ones celebrating them, it was the perfect way to kick off their marriage. Special thanks to their photographer, Rachael Kazmier, and their planner, Ohana Events, for helping make their wedding day so amazing! Take a look at the following photos and learn more about their florals for their wedding on August 4th, 2023.
At their floral consultation, Rochelle and Eric used words like whimsical, airy, soft romantic, and organic. They envisioned colors like white, blush, peach, and pale yellow. We took this brainstorm and ran with it - using buttery yellow and antique blush roses, peach ranunculus, orange zinnias, pink dahlias, white cosmos, and white delphinium.
We love the way Rochelle’s airy sleeves looked with her bouquet - it was such a romantic vibe!
Blush ranunculus and dainty cottage yarrow adorned Eric’s lapel.
Rochelle and Eric hosted their entire celebration at Morgan’s on Fulton, an awesome venue located in Chicago’s West Loop. It was the perfect day to have a rooftop wedding! For their wedding ceremony decor, we created a romantic, curved floral backdrop that grew from the ground up.
We also created two statement pieces for the aisle entrance, placed on white pedestals. We finished the ceremony look by placing a white aisle runner on the ground. The gold chiavari chairs completed the romantic ceremony decor.
How adorable were their flower girls?! We gave them peach rose petals to toss onto the aisle during the processional.
After the ceremony, cocktail hour was held in the lower event space. We provided a few pleated clear glass bud vases with blooms for the cocktail tables and guest book table. The couple provided some small pieces of paper and pens for guests to write them well wishes and to place in a glass container. Such a sweet, interactive idea! We also repurposed some ceremony blooms and placed them on the guest book table.
As guests enjoyed their cocktail hour, we flipped the rooftop into a dreamy reception space! Guests’ dinner tables were long, family style wooden tables adorned with white runners, sandstone colored taper candles, votives, and flowers. We had a mix of two different floral centerpieces styles: one featured bud vases plus candles, and the other style featured one medium floral arrangement with candles.
We repurposed the ceremony floral backdrop and surrounded the front of the sweetheart table with blooms. Their sweet two-tiered wedding cake, provided by Alliance Bakery, was also topped off with some of our fresh flowers.
Congratulations again, Rochelle and Eric! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Cheers!
