Classic Jewish Wedding with a Modern City Twist

It’s always so special to see how love is celebrated through different and diverse cultures! This last spring we had the honor of curating flowers for Sarah and Jacob’s Jewish wedding at The Westin River North in Chicago. Flower arches are my thing and in Jewish wedding ceremonies, they’re known as Chuppahs! A chuppah is basically a canopy that the couple stands under during their ceremony. Flowers can be adorned all around or made a focal point at the top center of the chuppah (this is the route we took—check it out below!). The spring vibes were high with the use of white and light blue flowers that so beautifully matched the bride and bridesmaids’ dresses (and the stunning lake!). Peep through the beautiful photos below taken by Dominika Photography if you’re looking for some inspo for a classic-styled wedding!

The couple exuded pure class in their wedding fits. We matched their vibe with mostly white flowers and touches of pastel blue; the greenery added an elevated natural look to it all!

Sarah’s bouquet was made with some of our fav spring flowers such as ranunculus, delphinium, tweedia, orlaya, and we couldn’t skip out on the classic white roses!

This backdrop is sparking so much city romance! You have the gorgeous city skyline paired with the vibrant water- which is why we think Chicago is the best city to get married in. Sarah’s bouquet popped even more with this dreamy blue water in the background!

Can’t forget about the bridal party! Sarah’s bridal bouquet matched beautifully with the bridesmaids’ dusty light blue dresses while they carried all white bouquets with mostly white roses and touch of greenery.

This is the chuppah! The combination of the flowers and white drapery really gave an ethereal vibe to an already romantic ceremony. This chuppah was 10 ft and we draped flowers and greenery all around the front edge of it! We basically made a giant version of Sarah’s bridal bouquet with addition of hydrangeas :).

These tall flower arrangements really added to the theme of pure class and sophistication. The silver candle sticks were such an elegant touch!

And of course there were the matching low centerpieces!

Thank you for inviting us to be part of your special day, Sarah & Jacob! We’re wishing you all of the love & happiness for this new chapter!
