Six Unique Floral Add-On Ideas to Level Up your Wedding Decor

If you’ve been to a lot of weddings and are planning your wedding now, you may feel like it’s all been done before. Maybe so much of the wedding decor out there has just started to blend together. But, we’re here to remind you that floral decor can be endlessly creative and imaginative- you just have to think outside the box (and hire a florist who is willing to do so too)! Here at Romee Willow Florals, we love daydreaming and creating unique florals that elevate the look and feel of the room. If you want to make your floral decor memorable and artful, here is some inspo to get the juices flowing for your unique floral decor.

1) Dress up the staircase. Not all Chicago venues have staircases, but when they do, we love to make a statement with flowers, greenery, and candles. Fairlie’s staircase leads right into the ceremony space, so it’s a great way to make a grand entrance, worthy of the arguably biggest photo opp of your life!

2) Put an eye-catching arrangement on the bar. Aside from the bathroom, the bar is likely the most high traffic area of your reception! It’s a prime spot to display a stunning arrangement, because guests will easily be able to admire it all night.

3) Decorate the “getaway car”. We love a cute getaway car! Don’t miss the opportunity to glam it up with flowers, greenery, and a “just married” banner. Have you seen anything more adorbs?

4) Adorn the dance floor with flowers. If you think about it, the dance floor is typically the only area out of the entire wedding space that gets left out from having flowers. Why is that?! We want to propose a change. Either have a few arrangements on the ground, or have a hanging arrangement over the middle of the floor! There are plenty of ways to creatively incorporate flowers and greenery into the dance floor.

5) Put a photo-worthy backdrop behind your sweetheart table. You and your other half are the star of the show - obvi! Why not have an epic photo backdrop behind your sweetheart table? Your table should be the most special within the whole dinner space. Make yourselves feel like the main characters, because you are!

6) Dress up the ceiling with some greenery. A little bit of greenery goes a long way when it comes to the ceilings. It’s an easy way to incorporate more height into your decor. Plus, if you’re a nature person, and aren’t able to have your wedding outside, why not turn the inside into a nature-feeling atmosphere?
