Cheerful Spring Wedding at The Joinery
Late March in Chicago is a time of joy and optimism. Things are finally beginning to thaw, and the days are beginning to feel much longer. The end of the cold seems to finally be just around the corner and the perfect time to celebrate a wedding.
Jared and Molly tied the knot at The Joinery in Logan Square (one of our favorite and most frequented spots). The venue, with its painted exposed brick and industrial nature, was brightened up with their cheerful and romantic florals. Their color palette included blush, sage, ivory, mauve, buttercream, peach and an accent of marigold yellow. This palette really brought that spring feeling into the room.
Molly’s bouquet had seasonal elements like garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses, eucalyptus, and butterfly ranunculus. Jared and his attendants wore a peach ranunculus with a touch of greenery. We also provided gold cuff corsages for the moms and godmothers.
For the ceremony backdrop, we used The Joinery’s copper arch and decorated it with floral and greenery such as delphinium, eucalyptus, various roses, and linette mums (a nude, blush color. Mums these days ain’t just for your grandma! haha). As for the aisle decor, we provided various heights of ivory pillar candles in clear cylinders and clusters of greenery. The greenery around the candles help soften the look (and also provides more of a visual alert to not step on them! haha. Oh, there’s always one that gets kicked. But soooo worth it!)
For the reception decor, we provided cute little tear drop bud vases with blooms and greenery that were on cocktail tables as well as the guest book table. We adorned the dinner tables with runners of loose greenery, a pop of floral tucked in, copper and rustic votives, and we repurposed the candles from the ceremony (a great way to light up the room and save money!) . The head table was simple- we displayed all the bouquets in vases (so they looked more like centerpieces) with repurposed pillar candles, loose greenery and copper and rustic votives.
Thank you to Molly and Jared for letting us be part of your special day! We hoped you loved your wedding flowers as much as we loved designing them.
