Romantic Winter Wedding at The Joinery
Chicago winters can be a bit intense sometimes, with its extreme cold and heavy snowstorms. But that also means that they can be a great time to get warm and cozy indoors with loved ones. Jacqueline and Sean got married at The Joinery among candle light with their favorite people surrounding them. We loved providing their floral and candle decor to create the perfect cozy, winter vibe for their special day.
The bride carried a loose and natural shaped bouquet that was mostly white and green with a pop of dark red. We included some seasonal elements like anemone, ranunculus, tess garden roses, berries, white roses, eucalyptus and winter greenery. The stems were wrapped in silky black satin. Her bridesmaids held similar, yet smaller, bouquets without the red flowers.
The groom and his attendants wore a white ranunculus with a touch of greenery. Sean’s boutonnière had a pop red berries to stand out from the rest.
As the backdrop of the ceremony, light and airy strands of Italian ruscus greenery hung from the ceiling and kissed the floor. Pillar candles in clear cylinders were clustered down the aisle and also near the altar. These details really made The Joinery’s space feel cozy and romantic on a cold winter day.
For reception decor, we scattered loose evergreens and eucalyptus as well as clear votives among the dinner tables. We also adorned their sweetheart table with a gorgeous garland and the bride’s bouquet. They had a sweet, frilly banner on the front of their table that said “love always”.
We absolutely loved working with Jacqueline and Sean to bring their romantic winter wedding to life. Cheers to the happy couple!
