Simply Sweet Ambassador Chicago Wedding
You can’t get more quintessential Chicago than by using the skyline as your ceremony backdrop. Jessie and Mingyi’s daytime ceremony and intimate reception was filled with a simplistic natural beauty that we absolutely adored.
Jessie carried a classic, round bouquet full of blush, ivory, and peach blooms including roses, ranunculus and garden roses. Mingyi was fashioned with a simple, ivory ranunculus bloom with eucalyptus.
Jessie and Mingyi chose not to have a wedding party so the focus was truly on the two of them during their ceremony. As such, we didn’t want to overwhelm them with decor. Plus, we couldn’t compete with the beautiful views of the city visible from the Ambassador Chicago Hotel’s rooftop. The ceremony aisle was lined with simple greenery clusters tied to the chairs. We decorated a metal arch with clusters of blush, ivory, and peach flowers with a touch of greenery. Then a swag of ivory sheer fabric draped over the arch added to effortless, romantic look of the overall design.
Guests moved inside for a lunch reception and were greeted by an escort card table with an arrangement resembling the bride’s bouquet in clear footed urn. Tables also complimented the bride’s blooms with roses, hydrangea and a touch of greenery. We kept these arrangements low and lush to not only fit the intimate nature of the reception but to also allow guests to easily toast and converse across the table.
