19 East Wedding
Krista and Philip’s wedding at 19 East was on a perfect September day. Their floral and decor included lots of fun elements and a hint to the upcoming fall.
Krista carried an oversized bouquet of floral and greenery arranged in a natural shape with plenty of texture including dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, celosia, burgundy foliage and eucalyptus. Flower stems were wrapped up in trailing ivory and champagne ribbons.
Philip looked dashing in his charcoal suit and textured boutonniere with an ivory spray rose. He and Krista stood under a birch chuppah with nude fabric gathered at the center of each pole. Trailing smilax greenery covered the front giving the structure a very natural and organic look.
We hung clear jars on ceremony chairs that were filled with burgundy dahlias, blush and ivory garden roses, and greenery which complimented the bride’s bouquet as she walked down the aisle. Later we repurposed these jars on Krista and Philip’s dining tables!
To further frame the ceremony space, we placed two white pedestals on either side, each displaying a large arrangement with lots of lush blooms, fall burgundy foliage, and pampas grass which tied together the fabric from the Chuppah. There were even artichokes because Krista loved what a unique look they brought to the arrangements. And of course in the interest of repurposing, we later used these arrangements on their escort table and gift table to continue making a statement in the cocktail reception.
For Krista and Philip’s dinner reception, we created a variety of centerpiece looks to provide continued interest throughout the space. The first set of tables featured a gold and glass lantern and some of those repurposed ceremony aisle flowers with added greenery. Then we had pillar candles accented with smilax vine and a pop of floral in a gold bud vase. Finally, some tables showcased a tall, gold metal stand with a large arrangement of greenery. We love how these brought your eye up since the venue’s ceilings are so high.
We continued to bring the guest’s eye upwards with Krista and Philip’s head table focal piece. Smilax vine was suspended above the table on gold stands with votives hanging down at various heights from wooden planks for that touch of rustic.
Thank you Jay Henington Photography for capturing all the unique details and to 19 East for providing the perfect backdrop and LOLA Event Productions for the amazing coordination!
