Lush, Textured Fall Wedding Flowers at The Joinery

Creating fall wedding flowers is so much fun, especially when couples want to lean into all the different colors and textures autumn has to offer. We worked with Catherine and Patrick to bring their rustic, lush fall harvest flowers to life. They got married at one of our favorite Logan Square event venues - The Joinery - and we got to dress it up with lots of epic florals. If you’re a fan of pampas grass, you’re going to want to keep reading because we used it in a lot of fun ways for their wedding. Take a look at all their lovely wedding photos by Allison Williams Photography below.

Catherine’s bridal bouquet contained elements like toffee roses, white dahlias, white delphinium, eucalyptus, olive branches, pampas grass, dried bunny tail, white strawflowers, and more. We love the look of fresh flowers combined with dried elements. It went perfectly with her sleek and elegant white wedding dress. Patrick wore some personal flowers as well: a boutonniere featuring a white ranunculus and a touch of dried bunny tail.

Inside The Joinery, we went to work creating an autumnal wonderland for the ceremony space. We created an asymmetrical deconstructed arch for the altar. Like the bridal bouquet, we combined lots of florals with textured greenery and grasses. The end result was a ceremony backdrop that was organic and eye-catching.

It was the hanging floral installation that stole the show, though! We created a loose and airy installation that was about ten feet long, to hang over the ceremony aisle. We loved the way it looked among the twinkling bistro lights strung between the banisters.

Along the aisles, we placed large clear jugs with more pampas grass and eucalyptus. It was a fun, seasonal alternative than just your standard candles. We also created two tall floral hedges that were placed at the entrance of both aisles.

Gotta love that natural sunlight that shines into The Joinery!

YAY! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

After the ceremony, it was time to get the space ready for the reception. We decorated the long, wooden dinner tables with various white ceramic vessels (focal compotes, bud vases) and two different kinds of candles (tall, white taper candles and textured votives in amber glass). Again, we incorporated lots of varying heights and textures to the floral centerpieces, giving the tables a whimsical and eclectic fall look.

We placed the sweetheart table in front of the deconstructed wedding arch, and repurposed the fall floral hedges (that were originally at the aisle entrance) in front of their table. We also displayed the bridal bouquet in a white ceramic vase in the middle of their table. So luscious!

The whole space looked like an autumnal textured dream.

Congratulations again, you two! Thanks for letting Romee Willow Florals be part of your amazing day.
