June Showers.....Pastel Flowers

Malerie and Andy were married on June 21st at a little hidden gem in Logan Square called Chief O'Neill's Pub.  They have a gorgeous outdoor patio area complete with a gazebo and surrounding lush planters   The plan was to have the ceremony and reception outdoors until a nasty storm appeared on the radar.  Luckily their wedding planner, Tiffany from A Splendid Occasion, was there to make the call to postpone the ceremony and start with cocktail hour.  Why not drink first, am I right? So, the show went on...and the clouds parted for a brief moment to allow the couple to get hitched outdoors and then the party moved inside (all the chairs were wet).

Malerie chose seasonal blooms in pastel colors to achieve a romantic and 'just picked' look.   Peach and white spray roses accented with seeded eucalyptus adorned the suits of the groom's and his attendants. The bridemaids carried a simple and linear bouquet of stock, feverfew,  waxflower and veronica.  Malerie's bouquet was rich with pink peonies, white garden roses, yellow feverfew, pink waxflower and peach spray roses.  We also loved the little white hairpiece we made for her very chic up-do!  The centerpieces were in my favorite type of vase- a footed compote- allowing for flowers to naturally drape.

I must also point out the fabulous oreo cookie cake...painstakingly stacked by Tiffany the wedding planner.  A true test of patience and will power!

And last but not least, I have to thank the photographers Liz and Joe from Coach House Pictures.  They did an amazing job capturing the details!  THANK YOU!
