Chicago Botanic Garden Wedding
I have to say, setting up a wedding at the Botanic Garden was so pleasant, it hardly felt like work. There was a slight breeze, it was about 75 degrees out and the sun was shining. Kristen and Chris were married in the English Walled Garden and then partied all night in the huge white tent overlooking the pond.
There were some really cute details in the decor that I'd like to point out. We did a sort of ombre effect with the flower colors through the course of the evening. The bridesmaid's bouquets were soft ivory and Kristen's was soft pastel tones of peach, pink and ivory. Then, the ceremony arrangements featured a little more pop of color and then by the time guests walked over to the reception, they were splashed with deep reds, pinks, and peaches in the centerpieces.
We used intricately painted Chinese pottery for the centerpieces and featured some seasonal flowers such as coxcomb, dahlias, hanging amaranthus, godetia, and ranunculus.
The Bride and groom chair swags made of seeded eucalyptus and olive tree foliage were pretty adorable as well as the Magnolia leaf escort cards ( a Naturally Yours Events original).
A special thanks to Melissa Hayes Photography for these stunning images!
