63rd Street Beach Wedding

If you haven't visited Chicago 63rd Street Beach house, you should put it on your summer bucket list.  It is a gorgeous Classical Revival style pavilion built in 1919 which boasts lovely courtyards, fountains and arched verandas.  August 23rd was not the most beautiful of days to experience it (especially when the rain started coming in sideways and soaked all of the rented vintage furniture and dinner seating area), but the rain came to a stop about 30 minutes before the ceremony.  Oh outdoor weddings..... they can be so exhilarating!

Lindsay and Scotty chose a soft palette of whites and greens for their bouquets and boutonnieres and then added a pop of color for their dinner table centerpieces. They rented really cool vintage furniture from Shadow Box Dreams Vintage and wood farm tables from Chicago Farm Tables. We arranged flowers in different size ball jars to give it a vintage, and rustic feel.  Flowers included white polo roses, queen annes lace, dahlias, astilbe, ranunculus, stock, scabiosa, and hydrangea. 

Congrats Lindsay and Scotty!  May your life together be void of storms.
