Winter Greenery at City View Loft Wedding

Anthony & Ryan’s winter wedding was rustic, cozy, and romantic. They wanted a look that was manly, a little whimsical, and winter themed without looking too much like Christmas. So we focused on using lots of different winter greenery to bring texture and warmth to their wedding at City View Loft.

They each wore boutonnieres of a petite cluster of blue thistle, white spray roses and winter greens wrapped in twine. The simple adornment complemented both grooms as they each wore wool suits with different accent colors, maroon and navy.

We brought elements of the forest inside with their ceremony decor. A wood arbor and pedestals framed the couple along with arrangements filled with winter greens, white statice, hydrangea, and blue thistle. We also incorporated metal lanterns holding a bed of moss and candle. A cluster of similar blooms and greenery were tied to the ceremony chairs to line the aisle.

A large arrangement in a rustic gold metal bowl for the couple’s escort table was filled with sprawling winter greenery and the same white blooms from the ceremony arrangements.

Guest dinner tables featured collections of candles with those fun textured winter greens tucked in. We accented the greenery with pops of white floral including waxflower, roses and blue thistle and kept the decor low to the tables to allow conversation and sight lines to the beautiful views of Chicago out the venue’s large windows. And since we couldn’t get enough of the ceremony look, we repurposed the wooden pedestals to provide a dreamy backdrop for Anthony and Ryan’s rustic sweetheart table.
