Whimsical, White Florals for Morgan's On Fulton Wedding
You heard it here first: monochromatic wedding flowers can be just as eye-catching as colorful ones! We were thrilled to provide the floral decor for Kelsey and Daniel’s whimsical yet elegant wedding this past October at Morgan’s on Fulton. They wanted to create Italian vibes for their rooftop Chicago wedding, and we found some creative ways to achieve that vision! We crafted white, multi-botanical florals for them and installed luscious greenery draped from the ceiling. Check out the brilliant photos below by Amanda Megan Miller Photography, and learn more about their whimsical rooftop wedding.
For Kelsey’s bridal bouquet, we made it with elegant white floral arranged in a unique shape. Her bouquet was almost completely white, minus the small touches of green from the stems and leaves. We included white flowers like garden roses, spray roses, dahlias, orchids, and ranunculus. To add to the whimsy, we included long trailing white ribbons. We obvi love the floral of her wedding dress, which she got from Ines Di Santo - obsessed! Daniel wore a boutonniere comprised of a white ranunculus and greenery. It looked great against his black suit and bowtie!
For the main focal point of their wedding - their ceremony flowers - we created a collection of whimsical arrangements featuring white floral and a touch of greenery. These six arrangements were clustered on the ground and on top of white pedestals. The white delphinium and long-stemmed white roses helped contribute to the unique shape and texture of their wedding flowers. Combined with the sunlight bouncing off the white flowers, this altar was totally dreamy.
We love how these arrangements give off a sophisticated yet playful vibe. After the ceremony, these arrangements were used elsewhere - keep reading to see where!
We created a medium arrangement for the escort card/memory table. It’s such a lovely detail to provide old family wedding photos - so sweet and nostalgic. It’s also an easy way to pay homage to family members that couldn’t be in attendance.
For cocktail hour and dinner table decor, the couple opted for clear glass bud vases. Along with the pops of floral, we also provided tall, white taper candles as well as gold votive candles. The long wooden dinner tables decked out in all white everything looked so chic!
The element we think really added the Italian vibes was the hanging greenery from the suspended string lights. You would never guess you were at a wedding in the middle of downtown Chicago, with that romantic detail!
If you’re wondering what happened to the whimsical ceremony alter arrangements - here they are! The sweetheart table was adorned with the repurposed ceremony arrangements, taper candles, and votives- definitely the best seat in the house.
As the sunlight went away, the rooftop space became even more magical with all the twinkling lights, greenery, white florals, and candlelight. So freaking pretty!
Cheers to a beautiful life together, Kelsey and Daniel! Thanks for letting us take part in your gorgeous day.
