Traditional Chapel Ceremony Meets Artful Wedding Reception
The couple, Sara & Andy, had the best of both worlds at their wedding. They paid homage to traditional Catholic roots at The Madonna Della Strada Chapel while hosting their reception at the modern and artful, Artifact Events. The duo also opted in for deep colors that truly popped at this more industrial reception venue. They even chose table centerpieces that not most do (see pics below!). It’s always so fun for us to see different worlds coming together and we definitely saw the traditional and the modern meet at this wedding. Check out the stunning photos shot by Emma Petersen!
We love a good wedding fit check! Let’s start with Sara’s dress. I mean have you ever seen something so unique- a hand painted wedding gown? Cherry on top is when your bouquet perfectly matches your dress. Andy looked so dapper in this blue palette! The deep magenta colored bout definitely popped against his suit too.
We obviously love flowers here so to see this kind of detailing in a wedding dress, we were definitely swooning.
Again calling out the amazing color coordination! The bride held a bouquet made from a variety of blues, purples, and pinks. The flowers we used to make this bouquet come to life were anemones, delphinium, scabiosa, roses, and ranunculus. Sara’s bridesmaids’ matched the color scheme perfectly. The groomsmen kept on theme with the blue tones!
Not much ceremony decor was needed because the chapel itself was artistically stunning. We provided large floral arrangements that stood on two tall white pillars at the front of the chapel.
We mentioned that this wedding had an homage to tradition! It was special to see the bride and grooms weave in photos of their passed loved ones. Sara added her photos to her bouquet and Andy added them to his tie.
This is where the modern twist comes in! The Artifact Events venue has an artful take on the industrial look. The dark colors with these exaggerated industrial details gives a modern-fairytale vibe.
The wedding decor matched the bride’s bouquet, of course (and her dress). The gold details also paired so well with the design of the venue! The couple chose your classic dinner table centerpieces but they also opted in for a more artful design by using the terrariums! It’s not often we get to curate these, so it’s always fun when we get the chance to do so.
Thank you for trusting us with your special day, Sara and Andy!
