Romantic, Modern Jewish Wedding at Fairlie

Chicago in early November brings crisp fall air, and a picture-perfect climate to get married. On November 2nd, Courtenay and Brett tied the knot at Fairlie, a venue we always love adorning with flowers, greenery, and candlelight. Fairlie is a modern, industrial space with tall ceilings and exposed brick, located in Chicago’s Kinzie Industrial Corridor. Courtenay, Brett, and their planner (Amanda Paige Events) had a vision of toffee and terracotta florals- as well as lots of candles - to bring whimsy to the venue’s industrial vibes. Check out these gorgeous photos by Katy Carl Photo and keep reading about their wedding below.

The bride wore a sleek and stunning wedding dress that made her look so elegant! We loved making her structured yet airy bridal bouquet with flowers like toffee roses, light peach and white ranunculus, ivory spray roses, light pink dahlias and greenery.

Her bridesmaids wore long dresses of varying styles in a deep red/terracotta color. Seriously, it was the PERFECT color for a fall wedding! We love this consistent, yet eclectic look that allows bridesmaid’s to choose the right style dress to feel comfortable in their unique body shape. We provided the bridesmaid’s bouquets in a similar style to the bride’s, only more petite.

The guys wore classic black suits with sharp bowties. They got flowers too, in the form of ivory spray rose boutonnieres. So elegant, so chic - all of it!

A moment for the veil, please. It made Courtenay look so angelic! At the Fairlie, we dressed up the staircase in greenery and candles, making for a whimsical entrance to the ceremony space.

We gotta admit, their Chuppah was one of our favorites of the year! We covered their wooden Chuppah in floral and greenery in a slightly asymmetrical style with whimsical trailing greenery in between clusters of flowers. We used flowers like roses, dahlias, and mums in colors like ivory, bronze, toffee, peach, orange, light pink and dark pink. To complete their ceremony aisle, we added clusters of greenery and candles.

Courtenay and Brett had a beautiful Jewish ceremony and sealed the deal under their whimsical Chuppah! Mazel Tov!

As for their reception decor, they opted for pops of florals in clear bud vases along with tall, taupe taper candles and small votives. This made the dinner table centerpieces loose and natural, contributing to the whimsical nature of their decor. Their simple, framed table numbers matched the color of the terracotta bridesmaid dresses.

We obvi repurposed their Chuppah by placing it behind the sweetheart table. With a stunner like that, it’s gotta get as much view time as possible! It framed the happy couple all throughout dinner, creating a picture-perfect backdrop.

We topped their simple white wedding cake in fresh florals, tying the whole room together. Congratulations again to the happy couple! We loved being part of your big day.
