Pretty and Purple at Loyola
Chicago's clear blue skies, sparkling lake, and towering skyline were picture perfect for Laura and Brett's September wedding. Celebrating with a traditional ceremony at Madonna Della Strada Chapel on Loyola's Lakeshore campus, the venue provided beautiful art deco architecture and modern stained glass windows to flood the space with natural light. Laura's ladies donned short silver and purple gowns, carrying bouquets of roses, dahlias, callas and orchids splashed with greenery. The men's lapels we pinned with purple calla lilies to tie into the ladies' attire.
The reception was held at Joan Schmidt Ballroom at Loyola, a hall suited for the 25 tables of guests and a dance floor to party! The couple chose two styles of centerpieces to bring the room together. One was a clear glass footed compote filled with white and purple seasonal blooms of hydrangea, stock, roses and dahlias loosely fashioned. The second arrangement featured 3 cylinder vessels each filled with different purple or white flowers.
