Metallics are In

Over half of the brides I met with this year have asked for roughly the same thing.  I'm realizing it's not just my clients, it's everywhere.  Metallics are in!  Gold, silver, brass, bronze, mercury glass, mirrors oh my!  I've started amping up my vase collection to prepare for the madness!  I think the attraction to this look is the glamor and classiness it radiates as well as the uniqueness in the vintage elements.  Metallics are a throw back to the roaring twenties, the mod 1950's, and even a little bohemian; they are making their way into several different theme weddings or parties.  From dresses to cakes to vases and flat wear, Gold and brass are really taking center stage.    

Notice the gold "flower"...it's not a flower but a gold spray painted succulent plant. Cool, huh? The vase is also vintage inspired gold. The inspiration for the flowers (and this blog post!) came from creative director, Megan Moran of City Girl Weddings.
