Bohemian, Vintage-Inspired Fall Wedding at Salvage One
Alex and Will tied the knot last fall at one of our favorite venues in Chicago - Salvage One. This venue, located in West Town, is comprised of a 60,000 foot warehouse full of unique furniture and architecture relics. It’s oozing in vintage charm! With exposed brick, large windows, wooden floors, chandeliers, tons of different stained glass, and eclectic furniture, it’s an antique-lover’s dream. Alex and Will dreamt of hosting a wedding that had a bohemian, vintage feel, so Salvage One was the perfect space for them to say their “I do’s”.
Their photographer, Lauren Lucile Creative, joined in on the vintage fun by capturing their wedding photos in not only a digital format, but also film. She accentuated the retro feel that the couple set out to convey. We especially love the rainbow light streaks that came out in their ceremony photos- looks like a dream! Check out more of their photos below:
Alex wore a unique wedding dress - the Marchesa Notte Tish Gown by BHLDN Weddings. The soft pink dress featured dimensional blooms cascading down the gown. We loved the romantic off-the-shoulder neckline. We also loved how elements of Will’s tie and handkerchief matched the color of her dress. The colors that both the bride and groom wore totally added to the vintage look!
Alex’s bridal bouquet featured flowers in classic fall colors: yellow, orange, and blush. Some seasonal elements included bittersweet, mums, local dahlias, toffee roses, a tropical and funky banksia, fall grasses and ranunuculus. Will had a boutonniere to match.
We provided similar, but smaller, bouquets for the bridesmaids. We also created a simple matching flower crown for the flower girl, and provided her with a small brown basket with flower petals to drop during the ceremony precessional.
The ceremony space at Salvage One complemented Alex and Will’s vintage-inspired wedding with glittering chandeliers, wooden church pews, and white Greek columns. We loved creating and decorating their copper Chuppah with two clusters of floral and greenery. The pampas grass and eucalyptus added so much texture to their ceremony flowers. We also provided clusters of pillar candles in hobnail jars for the ceremony aisles.
For their reception decor, we created low floral centerpieces in mix and matched boho ceramic vases. We also repurposed the tall ceremony candles for a candlelit dinner.
Congratulations again, Will and Alex! We loved creating your bohemian fall wedding flowers.
